ERIKA SIMON
Hello my name is Erika Simon and I started dancing at the age of 3 in Gainesville, FL. I have danced many styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom, tap and acro. I have danced with many studios in Florida, Arizona & Minnesota but my most memorable dance years were spent at Arizona Dance Conservatory, with Rhonda, before All That Dance got its start! I cheered at Flagstaff High School for 4 years and professionally at Tucson Cheer Academy. I have competed in dance, gymnastics and cheer for many years. I was honored to be a 2 time United Spirit Association and Universal Cheerleaders Association all star.
Dance and cheer brought some fun and unique opportunities for me including dancing alongside some famous choreographers and one of my favorite memories – performing in the the London New Year’s Day parade. Professionally, I pursued a career in Nursing but have been a dancer at heart my entire life – dance has given me many valuable skills that I have applied as a healthcare professional.
Recently, my focus has been on being a dance mom and dance fitness instructor – I am a certified Zumba instructor. All forms of dance have something to teach you and Zumba has taught me to listen to the music and let go. Being a dance mom has taught me that the only thing better than dancing for myself is watching others grow in their love for dance. I’m excited to join this team of teachers and help build the appreciation for dance and the valuable life skills that it has to offer!
